When I first posted this all I had found was a bunch of RPM values. Testing those on the bike revealed that some worked and some didn't. Since then of course we have come to a much better understanding on how the limiters are set up.
The ZX-6 is very much like the Busa, GSXRs, and other 32bit Denso units of that era. There are soft and hard fuel limits to chose from, an ignition limit, different limits for neutral / clutch in, and fuel and ignition limits by gear.
So of course I'm sure your next question is why haven't I posted the definition? The answer is that I have decided to create a commercial product using this technology as I discussed here
The good news is that we have selected the zx-6 to be our initial test bike so with any luck come spring you will be able to purchase software that will not only let you adjust your rev limits but real time tune your bike and log your performance on your computer.
ridgeracer Are you still working on an interface for the 2005-6 zx636 ecu? Would the kawasaki interface to computer for diagnostics be of any use to flashing an ecu?
did you ever end up making the product? also will we be able to opent he program, plug in our ecu and flash it with new rev limit? or is this a more complicated process? thank you sounds great!
