Hi guys, sorry I didnt introduce myself. Was breaking my head since the last couple of months & just didnt know who to ask.
My Issue:-
I have a ZZR1400 Ninja (non ABS) 2007. Now the major screw up is that I bought it 2nd hand so dont know which version it was. Now that I've installed a GP exhaust, pc3 usb commander, filter etc etc. I asked my friend to help with the mapping. Seemingly a simple task. After I got the maps from my friend in USA, it worked a for a little distance & then the bike started bogging & sometimes refused to start. Had to reset the commander & then its running perfectly fine on the stock pc3 usb map. So there's no screw up with the wiring of pc3, but another friend told me that I might have the Euro version ECU, hence the USA Spec ZX14's map will never work.
Now can anyone please help me to know which version is my bike as per the ECU details mentioned below, as otherwise I cant run this bike with this expensive exhaust.
So far no one around here as successfully hacked the ZX-14 and therefore we don't really have any specific info on the differences between euro and US ECU maps.
I don't know that we can really help you with your problem.
The 21175-0101 is not a US part number. The '06 & '07 use 21175-0084, 0089CA for abs and non-abs. If I remember correctly, DJ has some pc3 maps for the eu models listed on their website. May be a way to get a closer start for a map. I'm waiting to hear from ffaspector on what happens at the Indy show, there may be hope yet.

Hey thanks mate. So according to this mine is a malaysian one. What is IMMO? I'm less on torque too. Plus mine was restricted @ 295kmph. Now I've already de-restricted it.
No mate, I have only one ECU which is on my 14R. Its about it. Once my VMAX comes, I can share that with you.

Dear insaneroller ,
With IMMO, I mean IMMOBILIZER, the ecu is equipped with the antiteaft system. the ecu with IMMO can't be switched between other motorcycles, otherwise will not start the engine.
The Immobilizer System
The system is activated when the ignition key is removed. Every time there is an attempt to start the car, the system transmits a new code.
Car immobilizer system Only when the ECU authorizes this code, the immobilizer deactivates and the engine can be started.
In order for the computer to start, all immobilizer components must be coordinated and encoded with the same code.
New encryption technology protects the system from duplications of electronic keys However, no system can provide 100% protection from theft!
