My HEW software has expired so i will have to set up a new environment to try this, i have a leave ticket from the wife and kids this weekend so i am heading out riding down to Byron Bay with some mates, so it probably wont be until next week that i can take a look at this ;)

An additional test that would give me some more info is if someone could load the drag tools and not make any changes to the shiflight settings and see if it the default value works?

I have only been using the digital readout on my timing light and the engine revs are a bit unstable up there with no load so it's maybe just slightly erroneous readings on my part. I thought it was at 9000 before, but it could just as well have been 8800 I suppose.
It's certainly well over 8000 which is the default setting.
The only other things I altered from a completely stock file were just the things needed to make it actually run such as TOS delete etc.

That's interesting, as mine doesn't seem to work at all. (not even 9000). All of the gear based shift points work, just not the launch.
I'm probably asking a stupid question here but does your ECU actually 'see' that you're in first gear with the clutch in? Your clutch switch is working fine as well as your GPS?
Good question, with the 4 conversions i have done , only one is still using the early GPS , the other 3 had irregular signals that the late ecu could not read accurately , in retrospect they were probably faulting in there previous ecu combo but it was just less obvious
Yeah, it is showing up in the logs and on the data stream if connected to a laptop. Seems to be operating correctly for the different gear settings as well.
I will try it at very low settings to see if it will go active at some point (as noted by chip, very low rpm was incorrect, but it did work).
If I remember correctly I think I tried it at 2000, 2400, 4500, 5000, 5500, 7000 and the default setting which I think is 8000. Each test it worked but at 8800/9000 ish, regardless of rpm setting for launch revs window.
Hmmm...perhaps there is something remaining from the factory pair programming causing the activation at 8800-ish rpm when the clutch is in that is not being overwritten by ECU editor.
Is this supposed to work with the Pair function set to DISABLED? I'm using a LED light that is connected directly to a switched +12 V on the positive and grounded on the pair pin 44.
You my need to wire in a relay to prevent the LED from having a dim glow even when "off" The PAIR circuit as a bit of leakage voltage in it when there is only a very small load across it.
PAIR should be Active and "Normal" in order for teh shift light to function. The light function simply modifies the switching RPM of the PAIR, the ecu still "thinks" it is switching the PAIR.
As you guys already found,the led is lit all the time but the difference when it comes on it's more than visible,so it's OK even without a relay,although I have a relay from my K7 1000 fan circuit laying around somewhere which I will connect at some point,just for the sake of it.
The thing is mine works with PAIR disabled. I haven't been able to test the launch light as I have set the 2 step limiter at 6.500 rpm and until that point it doesn't work,although I have set it to come one at 2.500 and close to 3.000...
