Cooling fan issue

Firstly a big thank you to all involved in developing this software.

I am having some issues with the cooling fan operation after flashing the ECU.

Sometimes it seems to ignore whatever setting has been selected in the advanced settings (eg. 80/85) and will only come on once its reaches approx.  240 deg F  /  115 deg C. (same time that temp reading on guage window starts flashing).

any ideas?

cheers scott

This is the first case of this issue i have heard so i would start with the basics like checking the temp sensor and wiring. Have you tried putting the cooling fan settings back to stock to see if the problem is sill there?

Have you drained the water or rebuilt the engine recently? You might have an air bubble caught in the system. When that happens the engine will show normal temperatures at first then, will spike up and overheat. This usually occurs in a few minutes from a cold start-up.

Bump on this as I'm having what I believe to be the same issue. I have a override switch but would be nice to have the ecu run a fail safe. Even though flashed to 85/80 the ecu (pin 43) does not send a grounding signal to relay. Gave up over 200*F.

ECT sending correct value, wires tracked clear from ground side of relay to ecu.
Don't need that cool but was testing at 85/80, would like to have fan come on while waiting in hot pit, no problem once under way, ram air enough to keep around 200* without fan. Also for cool down lap and off track to trailer when at pit speed, needs some more airflow for cool down.
