Yes, you can auto tune with hours worth of data, it takes a little bit longer to open and process bigger log files but it handles it fine, i have auto tune with a weekends worth of riding before ;)
had a problem already started checking to see if the data logging works, everthing is working right, installed my bmc race filter now when I start the bike, for the first few seconds the bike runs rough, never did this before the date logger and filter was installed any ideas

You are able to open multiple .wrl log files in the engine data viewer screen, i have not got the application in front of me but click the "open log file" button and select the multiple files to open.
when you auto tune will it change iap/tps maps or do you have to tell it to do both
You can select what areas get auto tunes. As with any auto tuning system, I recommend reviewing the suggested changes to be sure they look to be reasonable before simply accepting them.
when you are in the Engine Data Viewer screen there are 2 radio buttons for TPS and IAP, you have the option of auto tuning the 2 maps independently, so click the TPS raido button then Auto tuned map, then if you also want to auto tune the IAP map click the IAP radio button then click the auto tune button.
yes now it does,have to sit down and study what both do and there effects on the bike changed the tps, the plate openings and and raised the rpm , feels smother thanks
Two quick questions... Is there any way to open teh .wrl file other than with ecu editor? i.e. in a spreadsheet so the data can be looked at independently? I tried importing it as with teh .csv files form data stream logging, but it is just characters rather than usable data.
Is the ECU supposed to reset or at least teh fuel pump prime each time the indicator LED flashes while the Log Box is connecting to the ECU?

No i have not seen that before with the fuel pump priming while the log box connects, it generally just connects quietly in the background as soon as you turn the key on?

Lately,(Even a lil before the log box came out on the old Interface)My Bike started doing the Fuel Pump Song (lol) as well whenever I connected to the Engine Data Screen. Does Not Seem to Hurt anything?..... But it "USE" to not do this???? When I Connect to the Engine Data Screen or Log Box now, the Fuel Pump will Turn on/off(Priming)about 3-4 times before it connects a 100% to the Com Port.

As for making a streetbike run "smooth", assuming you are referring to low load operation (highway cruise and areas <11% throttle), the IAP maps are the areas to focus on. With teh log box, just let it run, with a wideband air fuel controller and sensor, and then come back form a day of riding, import all of the files from that day, and let the autotune do its thing. Be advised, that the auto tune data is only valid for the .bin file that you ran teh bike with. If you try to auto tune with an out dated data, it will not work well at all.
The files are not date stamped and are only written in sequence number, so you have to keep track of the log number relative to the .bin file and your riding conditions.
As for the 2 step, you cannot currently turn off the slew rate control, but you can set it to only respons with very high acceleration rates and make the correction 0 degrees timing for each selection.

Basically, yes, a wideband O2 sensor will allow you to tune the bike better than a narrowband (stock) sensor. That said, it is possible to do sme limited tuning with the stock style sensors, although you will have better results with a wideband.
yes, you wire the 0-5v analog output from the wideband o2 controller into the same pin as used by the stock o2 sensor and than make the change in advanced settings for wideband o2 sensor. Its definately worth doing you will get the best results tuning with a wideband o2 sensor.

not hard to make a plug and play, different connectors needed for busa and gsxr the connector for the std narrowband to harness is available , and the power wire is capable of operating the wideband heater, the wideband 0-5v output also joins at this plug and the only other wires used are gnds for the main heater and -reference which can bolt to the battery or frame
i will get a pic of mine today , using the WBo2 controller , found it very reliable, current one has been in use since 04 and seen more bikes than xmas's.
ok so from everthing I am reading you can not just wire a wide band 02 sensor into the bike to make it work , you need the controller as well , now this is a gen2, already have the new data logger using ecu edt, I was thinking you could just wire up the wide band sensor and change it on the data logging screen.
had a problem ,rod my bike to work hooked up the data looger. cruising about 80 in 6tf the bike cut realy quick, did this twice, almost like I hit the kill switch, any body else had this happen
no issues seen on mine , logged about 10 1/4 mile runs today without fault
helping a relatively inexperianced mate made me aware just how much i needed a trace graph of selectable items like tps, rpm, just so we could see throttle use and wheelspin etc ,
might be unrelated, still need to move on to get the wide band set up.found a meter that has the controller built in,now just need to find harness to make it plu and play

Yeah, I think a simple post processor for the binary files (and possibly the files from the regular data logging on a PC). Would be beneficial.
I think I need to start trying to get some of the computer guys at work into motorcycle racing / tuning...just wish one of them woudl show up to work riding a late model suzuki one day...
there are currently no plug and play harnesses available for wideband, most guys just wire them into the stock harness. It would be easy enough to create a harness that is reuseable on different bikes.
unfortunately no, the stock narrowband sensor uses a smaller diameter thread, innovate motorsports make an adapter that you could use quite easily across bikes.
I Just release a new version of ecueditor v2.5 which has a menu item on the file menu to "Convert .wrl file to .csv". This allows you to select 1 or more .wrl files and convert them to .csv files for opening in excel.
I have included the data i thought would be most useful, let me know how it works.
Most of the time the conversion fails with a box saying "arithmetic operation overflow". BTW should be possible to define where the converted file is saved.
