Tuned this customers bike last summer, just completed a nitrous install. Re run bike on dyno runs great. I opened ecueditor, update time, I update. Open the customers tune and change MS maps for fuel and timing (dry shot). Flash ecu and now we are getting a TPS code and the TPS reads -34 in the engine parameters window. Check TPS voltage and it is fine from the tps all the way back to the ecu, reads 1.1 ish with throttle closed and 4.5 ish at WOT. Sure seems like there is a bug in the software with the newer version????? Someone please help with any other suggestions, customer is waiting for his bike at 1 am with us and we can't seem to resolve a TPS code when the TPS is working as it should.
Do you have the previous bin file? Try flashing that back in to see if it was something that was changed. Or if you dont have the previous bin file please try flashing a stock bin file to see if the error code is still there. There have been very few changes to the ecueditor software in recent times, i would be very surprised if it is software related.
I Tried all 3 stock tunes, and the tune I had in it before. The tps reads -34 on the data screen but at the pin it it giving us the full range of voltage, checked the pin at the connector and it looks fine, the ecu pin looks fine also, only thing that was changed was the tne and only the ms maps for fuel and spark. Does anybody have a previous version, (bike was tuned in agugst 2012 originally), that I can try? We have literally checked eveything.
Well never mind lol, you were right, looks like the tps pin got spread when we unplugged the ecu, closed the female side down a bit and back to good hopefully.

Ok great, this is what i find 95% of the time software is thought to be the cause but it is generally other factors ;)

Guys, don't let him kind you with his ,"pay no attention to the man behind teh curtain" routine....
We have a [sarcastic] saying.. "it's always the t00ner's fault." Good on him to fess up to it though..
I recently had intermittent no start problem, turned out to be a loose pin as well. Drove me crazy to find.. I don't think they are designed to in/out as many times as I have...

So true.
I have already bent a pin on my B-King ECU after taking out the ECU "a few times". Very easy to do when it is thight/duifficult to get the ECU out and the connectors are obstructing.
