I've ported a version of the GSXR 16bit checksum utility to the ZX-12R. This is a good tool for ensuring that the code section of your binary isn't being corrupted by an xml error or editor software bug. You can find a copy of the program and instructions here:
I'll also be taking a look at trying to enable the OBD K-Line interface on the ZX-12R B1/B2s. This could open a world of possibilities (such as in-harness reflashing and diagnostics)...
For anyone using a recent version of RomRaider, I created the "RRcheck" utility to check for (and correct) "Static" declaration incompatibilities in XML files that cause the ECU binary file to become corrupted. You can find a copy here:
It's been a while, but this week we successfully dumped a 2001 ZX-12R ECU (21175-1077) via OBD (K-Line) through the ECU connector. This also opens the door to reading and resetting the NVram (yoshbox settings), as well a running any other custom programs on the ECU (assuming there are still some out there)... :)
Anyway, looks like this will be another case of having to test each ECU to see if it's compatible. You can find more about it here:
Just posted the Flash tool v4.2 upgrade. This version adds the ability to read the ECUs NV Ram (Yoshbox / Teka fuel trim settings) as well as some other minor bug fixes. Write capability is only included in the licensed version.
