I've seen that this site had a vast amount of information but I'm struggling to find the right answers.
I have a friend with a GSXR1000 K8 2009, he's just bought it but it's not idling right. The person he bought it off fitted an exhaust and removed/drill out the baffles resulting in very little back flow and causing idling issues. He's asked me to look into remapping the ECU for him to accommodate the way it's been set up, ECU was never corrected by the previous owner. I already have a standard FT232R OBD K-Line USB adaptor, obviously I need the adaptor to go between that and the bikes ECU connector as well as the software to enable me to do this for him. I'm kinda working on a tight budget too, the other cable I can make up myself but wondered if it was a case of just connecting everything to a laptop with the correct software or if there was another module I needed to buy too. Oh and what software would be the right one?
